First allow me to dissuade you from buying this. I compiled this "book" with the sole intention of documenting a very small but intense portion of my life, primarily for my family and secondarily for those involved in the band HIT THE DECK. This was never meant to be made publicly available. It makes no attempt to cater to anybody but myself. It is no authority. It is not professional in really any sense other than it is a bound book, and I probably couldn't have made it at home. Probably.

OK this book is focused on a band I was in called HIT THE DECK, and what that means is, it's what you might call a look book or a memory book; it's a glorified scrapbook filled with all the flyers, photos, and ephemera of the time (2000-2006) that I had on hand. It was motivated by the fact that stuff deteriorates - materially as well as mentally - and I wanted a concise capture of the time for my family to have. As I compiled it, it occurred to me to notate as much as I could in order to also share it with some friends that were a part of the band. So there are lots of memories in this book, written and visualized.

So why sell it? I realized after I finished it that this book contains so much more local history than just the band, and many people are included in that history; it's not mine to gatekeep. I figured if anything, this is a relic that might have some significance to the Ventura County area (Nardcore) so I wanted to give people a chance to see a part of themselves in that or if they are younger, to learn a bit maybe 'where they came from'.
